Noah POV

The hospital releases me on a gray Thursday morning.

I walk out into streets still decorated with memorial flowers. White daisies line the sidewalks. Brown and white ribbons flutter from lampposts.

'Chloe's memorial. Still here.'

Part of me expected them to be gone. After I canceled the ceremonies, I thought the pack would remove everything. Move on.

But they are still here. Wilting now. Petals browning at the edges.

I could order them taken down. ...
