I used to regret letting Rowan convince me to return home with him, but seeing how broken he was this morning before leaving for work cleared up any trace of feeling within me.

The only question that kept ringing in my mind was how he'd have fared if we weren't together. He barely cooked, meaning that he wouldn't have bothered eating which might have translated into starving.
