Christmas came by faster than I wanted it. A season that used to be my favorite holiday period only brought me so much sadness.

Dad was no longer there to assist me in seasoning the turkey. We hadn't even bothered to set up the Christmas tree. My heart was just like the weather, chilly and dreary.
