The night passed slowly, each minute dragging on like an eternity. Drawn crept in through the curtains, casting a pale light across the beautiful, lavish room. I sat on the bed, squinting as my eyes adjusted to the bright light. My gaze settled on the intricate vaulted ceiling and the dangling glistening Chandelier with cool shades that cast a warm glow in the room.
