Julian's POV

I found him waiting in my office as if he owned the place.

Rain still clung to his coat, dripping onto the marble floor.

“I wondered how long it would take you to come,” he said with a smile that didn’t reach his eyes.

“You should have stayed away,” I said. My voice came out like broken glass. “I warned you.”

“You’ve been busy,” he replied. “Buying companies. Buying my daughter.”

My fists clenched. “You don’t get to talk about her.”
