I don't go back to the main house after Jolie refuses to talk to me.

Instead, I ride. Fast and reckless down mountain roads, pushing my bike to dangerous speeds, trying to outrun the guilt eating me alive.

Shadow is howling inside my mind, desperate to go back and break down that cabin door. Force her to listen, to make her understand.
