It takes me two days to feel human again. Two days of Doc checking my vitals, Luna bringing me meals, and Ryder hovering like I might shatter if he looks away.

On the third day, I insist on training. Knox looks skeptical, but he doesn't argue when Ryder gives him a sharp nod.

"Take it easy," Knox says as we face off in the training ring, his stance relaxed but ready. "We're just doing drills today."
