Amelia wasn’t stupid. She knew she was in danger so she hid in the mall bathroom until Kalia came to pick her up. She exited at a different site than she entered. She’d turned off her phone so that Alex couldn’t get in touch with her. As far as she was concerned, she'd taken precautions not to get caught.
