SELENE POV

It was dark and all I could smell was smoke… and blood. Fires burned all around me and bodies lay strewn across the ground. I fought the urge to be sick as I stared wide-eyed at the carnage. Then a shadow stalked from the smoke, not at all phased by the death and destruction that lay at their feet.
