Madeline’s POV

I opened my eyes, and the first thing I saw was the heat penetrating through the window from my chambers. When I sat on my bed, I yawned and stretched my arms while making neck and muscle cracks before I rousted off.

"Good morning, world!” I greeted as I opened the window. “And it’s my birthday!”

Well, not technically Madeline’s birthday, but Marissa’s birthday. Oh! I forgot to greet her in my dreams!
