Our fleet of vans shot toward the bridge ahead, and my pulse picked up. 

“No ambush this time please,” I murmured, staring at the bridge like an eagle, ready to leap out of the van at any time. If someone bombed this bridge, we’d all plunge into the water far beneath.

“Relax. We’ve got it all covered,” White said. “Our warriors are patrolling the area.”
