ALAINA’S POV

The air inside the Jameson courtyard was heavy. It was filled with so much tension that it pressed down on my chest.

Logan stood a few feet away from me.

“Why is Alaina here?” Logan asked. His voice carried the authority of an Alpha even though this wasn’t his pack territory.
