My eyes darkened again.

I felt the sting of betrayal all over again. My fiancée - the girl I loved since high school - slept with another man. Not just that, she’d been trapped in a hotel by him and bore his child. Still, she never told me who he was. Nobody had an idea who the bastard’s father was.

My wolf growled low in my chest, snapping at the memory.
