ALAINA’S POV

My breath caught. I hesitated, clutching my torn sleeve and staring at my reflection in the glass. I looked pathetic. I was dirty. I was mud-stained and shaking. The red mark on my cheek still burned. My wolf whimpered inside me but she didn’t cower this time. She growled weakly, angry at what had been done to us.
