“Where are you?”

“Why do you care?”

“Because you cared to take my call,” Adrian gloated over the phone. “Where are you, darling?”

“In the same place where you left me,” I said quietly, still in the living room of this nice man’s house.

“Sounds like you’ve missed me so much,” he said, blushing hard over the phone. “Don’t worry. I’m as excited to see you again as you are.”

“Why did you call me?”

“Because I have to,” he said. ...
