“When you were away from the pack, Jace started a project. I'm sure Rylan has informed you about it.” I sat across from him as I opened a chat, but he didn't look at my face. He already knew I was the one who stepped into his office. He knew the sound of my footsteps already. I couldn't tell if that was a good or bad thing.
