“I received a call from an unknown contact.” Kieran informed me as soon as I returned to the office. “They claimed to be aware of Evan's whereabouts. You may want to speak with them.”

“Was it a man or a woman?” I asked, dropping into my seat with a sigh. I couldn't quite tell why I felt confident that Evan was safe, but I knew I did.
