“We could not find Evan,” the woman reported to us. “I have informed the police force to put all hands on deck and begin a quick investigation into this case.”

“What do you mean by this?” I questioned. “Aren’t you supposed to look after him?”

“I’m sorry, ma’am,” she apologized. “But I think you need to stay calm in times like this so we don’t mix things up. Hands are already on deck, and nothing evil will befall your son.”
