As difficult as it was, I was able to conquer the wild thoughts that accessed my mind without permission. They screamed at me to punish Lyra for leaving the pack without my consent or approval.

If she was here, I wouldn't have felt tempted to be with someone else. Perhaps she was trying to test if I was really in love with her now, or maybe she was trying to make me angry so she could see the other side of me.
