I don’t like to think of myself as a cruel man. The title of soldier has never sat right on me, the mantel always felt like more of a yoke than a badge of honor. Sure, fightin’ for one’s country or fightin’ the injustices of the world was a noble cause, but I always felt I was destined for more. Better.
