Xavier stood in what remained of the safe house security room, watching footage with Arturo. They'd been at it for three hours, reviewing every camera angle from the past twenty-four hours.

"There." Arturo froze the feed. "Second floor. 9:47 AM yesterday."

Xavier leaned forward. The screen showed Kimberly emerging from her room, looking around nervously, then walking down the hallway.

"She's snooping," Xavier said quietly.
