The sight nearly tore Draven in half.

“What happened?” Rage shouted, rushing forward.

Corvin looked up, his face twisted with pain that looked too perfect to be real. “I found her near the northern gate. She was attacked—I tried to save her—gods, she was already bleeding when I reached her!”
