Ripley woke up bright and early on Saturday morning. There was an anxious knot gnawing away at her gut, but she couldn't deny the flutter of anticipation that had settled in her chest.

Jake had told her he didn't want to come pick her up because it was important for her to have her own vehicle at the compound. He didn't want her to feel trapped.
