Ripley's POV

The room was silent as Jake called the group to order.

Ripley could feel the tension in the room. There have been at least twenty bodies sat around the table, all staring at their fearless leader.

Pride surged in her chest.

Jake was competent. He was capable. He was the perfect choice, both as Alpha and as her mate.
