Three board members raised their hands at the same time. It was as though they had planned it. I knew what was coming before Richard Morrison even opened his mouth.

"We've received offers to purchase our shares," Morrison said. His voice was steady, but sweat beaded on his upper lip. "They are generous offers if you ask me. Alpha Chen of the Riverside Pack is giving us twenty percent above market value."
