CHAPTER 28 Critical Condition

Beverly.

The first thing I registered was the beeping. My eyes opened to harsh white lights and a ceiling that spun slowly before settling into focus. My body felt heavy, weighed down by something more than exhaustion. I tried to move my hand and found something holding me back. Not restraints but Tubes. IV lines on both arms, and monitors blinked all around me, tracking things I could not name. The hospital wing again but this time felt different. This time felt serious.
