Beverly dropped the warning casually over dinner like she was discussing the weather. Maya thought she was a target and apparently, that did not frighten her at all.

"So you are even more of a target than we thought." I set down my fork. "That is wonderful."

"Maya thinks I could help train other Lunas." Beverly's eyes lit up in that way that always meant she had already made a decision. "And also share what I have learned. She wants me to speak at a European Luna conference next ...
