Jenine's POV

I heard the commotion in the pack house. My body trembled like leaf in a storm. It was okay to be nervous. I was used to it. Somehow. But fear? It was a new feeling. One I didn't like one bit. And it had all started when I'd come to this accursed place.

I heard Luca roar about not taking someone as his mate. My heart froze. A crash sound made all my senses stand on edge. That's when I made up my mind. I wasn't going to endure this mental gymnastics anymore.
