I couldn't wait for Laura to be back. It'd been three weeks since she had that ‘family emergency’. Whatever that was supposed to mean.

I stared at myself in the mirror, eyes focused. The sports bra I wore on joggers clung to my body. My messy hair stared back at me, strands scattered on my face. I pushed them back in place tying them with the black head band that dangled in my hand. I closed my eyes drawing a slow, deep breath to prepare myself. For what you'd ask.
