Jenine's POV

It was finally time. I took in a deep breath as the rays from the moon beamed down with such an intensity it almost stung. Luca's eyes held mine. The warriors stood behind us awaiting orders.

A wolf ran up to Luca a little out of breath.

“I– I couldn't find him,” he panted.

“That fucking wizard,” Luca cursed under his breath.

His eyes glazed as he stared into the sky. “We move without him,” he finally said, jaws tight. “On me!”
