My entire world was once again just pain as I burned through the rope. The chanting around me waxed and waned as the crackle of flames taunted me, reminding me of what I was doing here and now. I needed to burn at least part of the rope so I could get my wrists free. Thankfully, Remus didn’t tie the rope so that it was holding my forearms together, but rather just my wrists, crisscrossed on top of one another.
