It was first light. The dawn chorus began hours later. Normally, they would caw and hold their meeting above the roof. Today, they chose my window. 

Like a grumpy boss, I stormed to the terrace with a club. 

“ Go away!”

“ Caw caw caw.”

“ I said, go away!” I puffed, and heard someone chuckle from the apartment next to mine. 

I hadn't noticed. He's feeding them.
