Burying myself in paperwork became the distraction I badly needed. It's been days now. I haven't visited the headquarters, because it hurts to wait for an answer that may never come. 

Maybe I misread her. 

I dropped the pen and combed through my hair. The memories are fixing up like a puzzle. Several pieces and connecting dotes are still missing. But here and now, all I want is her.
