Today was going to be my last day with Eve.

Last night, after I did say I love you back and I saw tears in her eyes, I have never felt so bad in a long while. After she had come out the bathroom with her face pale, and then she tried to cover it up with a smile, God, the very worst.

This morning, she was back to making me breakfast and being her normal self. On my way to my office, my mind drifted to what my life would be without Eve by tomorrow.
