Grace POV

The grey wolf stares at me.

My breath comes in short gasps. Pain throbs through my ribs with every inhale. Terror should be flooding my system right now—a massive rogue just crashed through my window—but instead, confusion tangles with the fear.

Move. Do something.

But I can't. My body won't cooperate.

The wolf takes another step forward. Glass crunches under its paw.

Those yellow eyes lock onto mine. Unblinking. ...
