Pain radiates through my entire body.

I can't move. Can barely think through the agony.

Ethan's fists did their damage. Every punch. Every blow.

'He beat me. That bastard actually beat me.'

The thought burns worse than the physical pain. Humiliation floods through me, hot and bitter.

I lie on the floor. Broken plaster digging into my back.

Grace's voice echoes in my mind. "Goodbye, Damien."
