I grip the steering wheel, my knuckles white against the leather as I adjust the rearview mirror. For the third time in ten minutes, the black sedan makes the same turn I do, keeping a steady, haunting distance of two blocks. My heart doesn't race with the same paralyzing fear it once did, instead, it burns with a cold, sharp anger.
