ONE MONTH LATER

I step out of the elevator and head toward Elias’s office. It’s one of those days I don’t go to the construction site, another day without the devil toying with my hormones.

I can’t wait for the project to be done. There will be no more Norman and his flirty comments, no more burning gazes following me around the room, or his scent choking my breath because he’s too close.

A part of my heart sinks at the thought, but I ignore it.
