I rummaged through some drawers attached to my desk, grunting with satisfaction when I found the steel daggers I had stashed there. I slipped them into my slim backpack before zipping it up.

I wasn’t sure how long it would take to find Claire. It had been several weeks now since she left. She and the rogue could have gotten pretty far in that amount of time. I would just have to hope that she stayed somewhat nearby.
