When can I see you again? I tried to resist sending the text, but the absence of Beth this week stings. I’ve called a few times, and she’s been distant. I can tell something is wrong, but haven’t been able to get her alone to discuss it.

I’m glad I sent the message, though, because I immediately see the three dancing dots on my phone indicating that she’s typing something back to me. Something that’s taking her quite awhile.
