MAYBE HIS TESORO

ROSE’S POV:

“Guys, since today is Friday, we are going to spend tonight with my mom and sister. Pack your bags, and be sweethearts and pack mine as well. I'll be back from work as soon as possible!" Cathy yells instructions over her shoulder, already halfway out the door.

“Okay, bye!" Eva and I reply as one.

The restaurant is closing early today since my boss is going away for the weekend. This means I have the afternoon off and I plan to visit one of my favourite places wher I haven't been in a while. Cathy and Eva will both be at work and I don't want to come back to the apartment alone, since Zoe and Helen will surely be here, and I don't want to deal with them any more than I absolutely have to.

After work, I decide to walk to my destination instead of calling a cab, because it is a very fine day and I rather like walking. It only takes about twenty minutes to reach the lake and I stop to admire the beauty of my surroundings.

The lake is surrounded by trees that are covered in blossoms all year round.

I have been visiting this place for years now, but no one—not even Eva and Cathy—know about it. It is the place where I can forget all of my worries and just think in peace. I settle on a nearby bench, and start thinking about my life; becoming unaware of everything around me as I get lost in thought.

Hours later, I realise it's evening and stand up to head home. I'd better go pack mine and Cathy's bags or she'll surely bury me alive.

I am just about to turn and leave when I hear someone yelling as if reprimanding another person. Curiosity gets the better of me, and I turn towards the sound, even though I know that it's none of my business.

Daniel's pov:

I feel really fresh and happy today. I slept better last night than I have in eight years. I glance at the clock to find that it's just passed six. I usuallz don't sleep any later than four, so this is really quite an achievement.

After spending an hour in the gym, I get ready to go to my office. I have to sort out yesterday's drama, otherwise I’ll have problems and I really don't need any more of those.

I miss Ms. Joseph's friend's sweet voice, and the sound of her gentle words as she tried to wake Ms. Joseph. Speaking of Ms. Joseph, she is going to be hear soon, so I have to figure out what, if anything, I am going to tell her about last night.

A knock on my door informs me that I've run out of time, so I give permission for Ms. Joseph to enter, still not sure what I'm going to tell her. “Good morning, sir," she says uncertainly.

“I asked a friend to call you from my number last night and inform you that I wanted you to write the agenda for a meeting that was to be held this morning. However, he tells me that one of your friends answered your phone and tried to wake you, but she was unsuccessful. My friend has requested that I move the meeting to this afternoon, and so I want you to set up the meeting now. This file contains all the information you will need. Tell the receptionist to book the conference hall for this afternoon. This is your only task until evening. Am I clear, miss Joseph?" I hand the file to her without so much as a smile.

“I'm really sorry, sir. I remember my friend tried to wake me, but I was really tired..."

“I don’t want any excuses. Just do as your told."

"Yes, sir."

I hope Ms. Joseph doesn't tell her friend about this. If she does, I'll be in big trouble and Mio Tesoro will know that I'm the “devil boss"

At exactly 12:00, Ms. Joseph brings the meeting's agenda over, and I head downstairs to get it over with. I know the meeting will go well, because Mio Tesoro had wished it would and I had promised that I'd grant any of her wishes.

After the meeting, I'm ready for the weekend. I've signed everything that needed signing and all the projects are going well. My PA will haodle anything else that comes up until Monday.

I decide that I need a long drive, so I order my bodyguards to follow me and tell my PA to handle everything in the office before heading down to my secret garage. I get in my lamborghini and drive off with no real destination in mind.

This continues until my car breaks down in the middle of the road. I get out to find someone I can ask for help, but there is no one around.

I scan my surroundings. They look strangely familiar, even though I don't remember ever being here before. Needing an outlet for my fury, I call my head bodyguard and start yelling at him.

“Do I pay you to stand around behind me? My car broke down in the middle of the road and there's absolutely no one here. I don't know what you're going to do, but I want another car in ten minutes!“

“I'm really sorry, sir. Sir, can you please tell me where you are? I'll be there as soon as possible," Oliver reassures.

"I don’t know where I am. Track my GPS or do something. I want another car as soon as possible."

“Okay, sir. Just hold on."

"Urgg! Okay!" Then I cut the call. After some minutes, Oliver calls me again.

"What do you want?"

"Sir, the you are now is called green lake. It will take more than an hour to reach you, even with the fastest car and best drivers. Sir, if you want, I’ll send your helicopter to pick you up."

“ I don’t know what you'll..." As I’m yelling into my phone, I hear a girl’s voice calling me out to me. God, I think it’s the same girl. I recognise her voice, but I could be wrong, couldn't I? I want to be sure first.
