"Mother" yelled Jason when seeing his mother being hit by one of the guard's attacks. He began to run back to where she and the other guards were fighting.
"Stay back, Jason," Queen Jeanie ordered him, but by then it was already too late, as one of the guards struck him directly on his stomach. He was sent flying backward while spitting out a mouthful of blood along the way before losing consciousness.
Queen Jeanie was enraged when she saw that her son was seriously injured. Not minding the wound she has been inflicted with, Queen Jeanie stood up as the spiritual energy around them began to intensify with her being in the middle of it all.
"Since you people have the guts to harm my son, then you must be ready to pay the price," she said in a cold voice, which frightened the guards as they began to distance themselves from her.
"I don't see a reason why we should be afraid of her when she is wounded, and let's not forget that she is outnumbered," said the strongest of the guards when seeing his men moving back.
"Do you think that you would be able to defeat me with this number"? Asked Queen Jeanie with an evil chuckle before pushing forward, while not giving the guards the time to reply to her question, as she was already standing before him with her hand on his throat.
"Let's see if you would be able to move that mouth of yours again when you are dead," she said before snapping the guard's neck, and with that, she has taken down the confidence of the other guards.
When seeing their leader lying on the ground dead, the other guards became scared as they all put their hands down.
"I thought Commander Eric said it would be easy for us to take her down if we were to fight her together, so why is it like we are just lying our heads down for her to slaughter"? Asked the bald man with his hands trembling in fear.
Not bothering with the nonsense they are talking about, Queen Jeanie turns to the side to look at Jason, and seeing that he is not breathing, she turns back to the guards as she asks in anger.
"Who among you hit my son"?.
The guards didn't think twice before selling the baldy out since the queen asked, there might be a chance that they would be spared. The baldy was speechless as he watched his fellow guards looking at him.
"I didn't mean to hit him, my lady, he just happened to get in the way," said the bald man as he tried to save his head, but unfortunately for him, his words were falling on deaf ears as the killing intent she was releasing towards him was almost suffocating him.
"I let you off the first time since you are not my enemy, even though you were instructed to capture me, but instead of you running for your life, you went ahead and hurt my son. I see being good towards you people is my fault," she said with her head lowered, but her hands were telling a different story as they could feel a powerful energy gathering around her fist.
"My queen…" before the bald man could finish what he was saying, Queen Jeanie had already released an attack on him as his body was covered in blue flames, and it didn't take up to five seconds before he was turned to ash.
The guards were just watching in fear as another of their members was killed by the queen and the worst of it all was that she was ignoring them as she made her way towards her son who was still unconscious without any fear in the world about what they were going to do since she had already sent a message to them.
Placing her hand on his stomach to feel if he is still alive, which didn't take her much time to find out that he was fine, but there is a problem with his cultivation being crippled by the baldy attack. Picking him off the ground with an angry look on her, Queen Jeanie places him on her shoulder before flying away.
"I can't feel any energy coming out of the prince," said one of the guards as he let out a breath of relief after Queen Jeanie had left.
"Damn that baldy, he almost had us all killed there, but good thing that the queen is not that heartless, else I don't think we would be standing here," said another guard.
"So are we still chasing after her or what"? Asked another.
"You can go ahead and chase her, that is, if you are tired of living, but know this, I'm not going with you," replied the guard who was in charge of tracking.
"But Commander Eric is already on his way here. What are we supposed to tell him when he arrives"? Asked one of the guards.
"Well, the least he can do to us is to punish us or strip us of our identity, which is far better than getting on the queen's bad side," replied the guard who was in charge of tracking.
"So are we heading back to the upper heaven"? Ask another and since they no longer had a leader, it became hard for them to decide on what to do.
"Since we can't go after her, it would be best for us to wait for the commander to arrive, with him around, we shouldn't be scared of the queen" replied the tracker among them.
"I agreed with him, only a monster like the commander can fight her, so why risk our lives in a fight we won't be able to win in the first place," commented another guard.
"Since that is the case, then we have no choice but to wait here then but before that, let's bury the body of our dead comrade” they quickly made preparation to bury the body of their comrade who had his neck snapped by the Queen.
