I stayed close to Elias the whole day. Not beside him every second, but near enough that I could reach him if something happened.

He did not ask me to do that, but he did not need to. I could see how tense he was. His shoulders stayed tight even when he tried to relax them. His hands kept curling into fists at random moments.
