Midnight couldn't come fast enough.

I spent the evening in my suite, pacing. Making calls. Checking my resources.

The lockdown changed everything. No students in or out meant no supply runs. No access to Dr. Senne. No emergency exits if things went bad.

We were trapped.

And Elias's next heat was coming in less than three weeks.

I pulled out my laptop and opened the encrypted folder. Files I'd been building since the day I figured out what Elias was.
