Midnight came too slowly.

I spent the evening in my room. Couldn't focus on homework. Couldn't sleep. Just waited.

At eleven forty-five, I slipped out. Made my way through the dark corridors to training hall C.

Ronan was already there. Sitting on the floor. Back against the wall.

"Did Vale get the note?" I asked.

"I don't know. Haven't heard from him."

I sat down next to him. "What if he doesn't come?"

"Then we figure this out ourselves."
