Deborah’s POV

The Council wolves were circling the waterfall like they could smell blood. Deborah counted six through the water. They looked dark in the morning light. Erick tensed beside her, and his ice powers started to rise because of the danger.

"The back tunnel," she whispered. She remembered the cave system from her training. "It goes deeper into the mountain."

"They'll follow us."
