The medical room smelled like medicine and fear.

Deborah stood outside the door, her hand on the wood. She couldn't make herself go in. Three of her wolves were inside, hurt from Kane's attack. They were hurt because she lost control.

"You can't stay out here." Maya walked up beside her, holding two cups of coffee. "They want to see you."
