The fire wouldn't stop.

Deborah watched Erick's hands burn with silver flames. She felt helpless. He had been touching her so gently just moments before. His skin was now blistering. He was in pain, but he didn't let go of her. He wouldn't let go.

"Please," she cried. "I can't stop it!"
