I slid the pin from my hair with shaky fingers and bent close to the lock. My heartbeat pounded in my ears as the small metal piece clicked against the tumblers. One wrong sound and I would panic again. I forced my breath to stay quiet, and when I heard the soft click, relief rushed through me. The door swung open.
