Lynn's POV

The snow had stopped sometime before dawn, and the territory was very quiet.

I'd been in the Luna office since six — not because anyone expected it, but because I'd woken up early and found I didn't mind being there. That surprised me more than I wanted to admit. I had a desk by the window, a clear line of sight to the treeline, and nothing pressing until noon. I was doing actual work. It almost felt normal.

The knock was light.
